Requirements for Athletic Participation, including Tryouts.

To participate in athletics at Gladstone Middle School, students must:

   1.) Have on file in the Main office, a record of having passed an Athletic Screening Examination. If a physician requires medical clearance, a letter indicating the student may participate in sports must also be on file in the Athletics/Activities office.
   2.) Have on file in the Main office, a permission form signed by parent(s) and student agreeing to follow the Athletic Rules and Regulations Handbook.

Attendance Requirements to Participate in a Game/Event
To participate in a game/event, an athlete must be in attendance at school for at least the last four (4) hours of the school day of the game/event, unless excused by the middle school principal or his designee.

Transportation to and from an Athletic Game/Event
The Gladstone Area School District will provide transportation for its teams to and from scheduled athletic events. Student athletes are expected to ride to and from the events with the team. Exceptions may occasionally be made for the student athlete to ride to or from the event with their parents only, after written notification from the parent(s) is received by the coach.
