The Upper Peninsula Region of Library Cooperation, Inc. (UPRLC) operates a Sirsi integrated library automation system for 55 school, public, and other nonprofit libraries in the Upper Peninsula. This shared system makes information technology available and affordable in a rural area to libraries that are unable to afford stand-alone automated systems. The consortium’s online public access catalog effectively expands the collections of small rural libraries from a few thousand titles to over 1.5 million.
Inter/Intra Library Loans
The Interlibrary Loan program is used for borrowing periodicals and references from other libraries across the nation. There is a $2.00 charge for this service, and it must be done at the library circulation desk.
