Rules of the Library

To allow all patrons of the
Gladstone School and Public Library to use its facilities to the fullest extent
during regularly scheduled hours, the Library Board has adopted the following
rules and regulations:
Patrons not reading, studying, or using the library materials may be required to leave.
Patrons will not interfere with other patrons’ use of the library.
Patrons will not consume food or beverages, smoke or use tobacco products in the library.
Patrons will not deface or mar library material, equipment or library furnishing.
Patrons will not enter the building without a shirt and shoes – rollerblades and skateboards are not allowed.
Patrons shall not bring animals into the library, other than a service dog.
Patrons are not allowed to bring bicycles in the building and must park their bicycles away from the library entrance.
Patrons are responsible for the return of materials and/or fines and fees. Failure to take this responsibility can result in termination of library privileges, such as computer use.
All materials removed from the library must be checked out by a valid library card or other library procedures.
Any patron not abiding by these rules or regulation may be required to leave the library and/or have all privileges revoked. Library staff may contact a law enforcement agency if deemed advisable.
Patron identification (name, address and phone number) may be requested.
Patrons may only check out fifteen items total; two DVD for one week, three VHS for one week, two books in a series, five books on tape or CD.
