The numbers and letters on a book binding all mean something.  In fiction, the letters are the section code, with the first letters of the authors’ last name.  Nonfiction uses numbers to sort each book.  The books also have different sections they can be found in.  Reference books cannot be checked out.  Refer to the Map and Key.
