How to Hold a Book Using PII

Welcome to PII (Patron Initiated Intra-Library Loan)

The Upper Peninsula Library is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing patron online access to U.P. libraries and their holdings.

Follow these 5 steps to place a hold on a library book from our 7 participating libraries.*  It’s as easy as PII!

1. Verify your library barcode and PIN number with the library at 428-4224.
2. Go to www.gladstoneschools.com from any computer and select School & Public Library.

3. Select Library Catalog from the menu.

4. Put in your barcode and PIN number in the top right corner.

5. Locate your book by filling out the information in the boxes.  Click on which category your search words fall under.

• Currently, if the book is on the shelf at the Gladstone Public Library, you will not be able to place a hold on it.

Your hold will be sent directly to the Gladstone Library for pickup.  Checkout is for 2 weeks.  There is no charge for this service.  Refer to Library Codes.  Refer to the Map and Key.
