Introduction
You will be creating posters and animal
cards depicting the biomes you have studied in your social studies class this
year.
You must design a poster and a
fact sheet for the biome assigned to you. The biomes are
Tundra, Taiga, Temperate, Tropical Rain Forest, Desert and
Grasslands.
The Task
You are to create a poster for the biome assigned to you. In addition, a separate fact
sheet will be created for the biome which will display the climate, vegetation, and
animal life of the biome.
You will also create an animal card for at least one
animal from your biome. At the conclusion of this project, you will
have created one animal card, one poster, and a fact sheet for your biome and
animal.
The Process
- You will be assigned a biome from the above
list.
- Choose one animal from the biome using the
list provided.
- Use the fact chart provided by your teacher to
write down your choices.
- Research the animal using the websites provided
and complete a chart for your animal.
- Use the information you have gathered to create
an animal card. On one side draw a picture of the animal and on the other side
write the information from your chart.
- Research the vegetation and climate of your
biome using the sites provided on the list.
- Go into the KidPix program and create a poster
of your biome including correct climate, vegetation, and animal life.
(Stamps may be used for animals).
- Use the information you have gathered to create
