Welcome to the Gladstone School and Public Library.
The Gladstone School and Public Library is located at 300 South Tenth Street in the City of Gladstone. The library is proud to serve the students and community by providing current books, magazines, and the latest technology. Our holding include over 30,000 volumes, fiction and nonfiction, books on tape, a Michigan history collection, magazine and newspaper subscriptions, and the Delta Reporter on microfilm. Services we offer are a résumé corner, a FAX machine, photocopier, Internet access and Microsoft Office Suite programs. In addition, we offer young children’s holiday, special occasion, summer reading programs and book fairs. Authors and current topics are featured bi-weekly.

Suzy Johnson is a Senior Girl Scout. This tutorial is Suzy's Gold Award Project. The Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can achieve. The project requires 50 hours in planning and completion. Before the project can be started, four basic requirements need to be met. A girl needs her Senior Girl Scout Challenge, Senior Girl Scout Leadership Award, Career Exploration Pin, and four Interest Project patches that relate to the proposed Gold Award Project. The Leadership Award requires 30 hours of leadership in two or more areas.
Suzy Johnson has been in Girl Scouts for ten years now. She has received the Silver Award, the second highest award in Girl Scouting. The Gold Award is the next step for her. She has been in many area Girl Scout events, including a trip to Savannah, Georgia to explore the city and the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of Girl Scouts.
Suzy chose this project, of all other options, because she loves to read. Helping other people find books and use the library to it’s full potential is a great thing for her. Reading would be a lot easier to do, and not as time consuming, if there was an easy way to find the book or item they need.
