We all are looking forward to Christmas. On Christmas Eve, that is the 24th December, we decorate our Christmas tree in the morning. It is conifer because it stays green in Winter. We put candles, colored baubles and tinsel on it. Some of us do it together with our parents, other children are not allowed to see it until we get our presents in the evening after having eaten a big family meal. Getting presents is the big event and we are all very excited about them. They are usually wrapped in colored paper and put underneath the Christmas tree. Before the opening of the presents some of us go to church in the afternoon, others attend a midnight mass. We celebrate Christ’s birthday. We eat a lot at Christmas. Some of us
eat Christmas is also a time when families come together. So we visit our grandparents or they come and see us the next day. |
