ACCELERATED READER

Each of my students is required to participate in Accelerated Reader.  I feel that students will be better readers with practice.  Accelerated Reader is one of the tools we can use to accomplish this.

The following are my requirements:

    First marking period:  8 pts.

    Second marking period:  10 pts.

    Third marking period:  12 pts.

    Fourth marking period:  14 pts.

Halfway through each marking period I will be checking to see if your child has earned at least half  the required points.  Please check your child's progress report for the number of points he/she has completed.  Earning the required number of points will result in an increase in the student's reading grade.  Likewise, not meeting the requirement will result in a grade reduction.  A.R. is not an option.
