Fluency
Speech is considered disfluent when there is break in the smooth, meaningful flow of speech. Many people call this stuttering.
During therapy, we work on "melting out" the words. We also "use air" and "light contacts" to help when students have difficulty with prolongation of sounds. The following are websites associated with fluency information and resources. If you have any questions regarding your child and fluency, please call Julie Aschbacher at 789-8522.
