  • The American Legion-has a book that list scholarships, grants, and loans for which students may qualify.  Stop by Mr. Florenski’s office to look at the book or check it out on line www.needalift.org.
  • Wisconsin Professional Police Association- Awards scholarships to Wisconsin and Upper Peninsula students enrolling in a course of study leading to a degree in police science or criminal justice.  Stop by Mr. Florenski’s office to get an application.
  • McKelvey Foundation- Scholarships for seniors who have demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating their own business while in high school.  Stop by Mr. Florenski’s office for more detail.
  • NALS of Michigan-Offering one annual scholarship for individuals enrolled, or planning to enroll in a school of advanced education pursuing a degree in the legal field. Stop by Mr. Florenski’s office to get an application.
  • Wisconsin Public Service Foundation-Scholarship awarded based upon outstanding academic achievement, leadership in school and community activities, and financial need.  Visit their website www.wisconsinpublicservice.com/news/scholarships.aspx.
  • AXA Foundation-Scholarships for students who set and reach ambitious goals, demonstrate drive, determination and ability to succeed in college and who have respect for self, family, and community.  Visit their website

  • The Elks National Foundation provides more than $3.64 million in college scholarships each year through its three scholarship programs. Their web site is www.elks.org/enf/scholars for more information

  • Rosa Parks Scholarship Foundation: GPA 2.5 or higher, Financial need, Complete application form and essay, Documented community service, High School transcript, and 3 letters of recommendation. Deadline March 1st. See Mr. Florenski for an application.
  • National Wild Turkey Federation: See Mr. Florenski for details.
  • Scottish Rite Scholarship: Must be affiliated with Freemasonry. Deadline March 15. See Mr. Florenski for an application.
  • Delta Upsilon Fraternity Scholarship- Scholarship is intended to help men who will be attending the University of Michigan for the next school year. Please get an application from Mr. Florenski. Deadline May 16th.
  • Michigan State Trooper Assistance Fund- minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, service to community, and demonstrate leadership ability. Please get an application from Mr. Florenski . Deadline April 1st.
  • Rotary Club of Escanaba Scholarship Application- Student must be enrolled full time and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Please get an application from Mr. Florenski. Deadline April 15th.
  • Michigan Retailers Association- Dependent children of owners or employees of MRA-member businesses. Please get an application from Mr. Florenski. Deadline April 1st
  • 2010 Miss U.P Rodeo Queen Scholarship- Please see Mr. Florenski for a information packet.
  • Michigan State Police Gladstone Post Scholarship- Minimum 3.0 cumulative gpa, clean criminal record, good role model, involved in the community. See Mr. Florenski for information.
  • Student Trooper Program-Male and female juniors and seniors who think they would like to become police officers. Check out the programs at www.michiganlegion.org
  • Michigan Oil & Gas Producers Education Foundation- Qualified applicants must have been accepted for enrollment at a Michigan university or community college, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.  Qualified applicants must also be pursuing a degree in a field of study, which will allow them to obtain full time employment in the crude oil and natural gas industry.  Go to www.mogpef.org for an application.
