Money raised for U.P. Raptor
Rehab and Wildlife Center
Gladstone High School and the Current Issues class recently donated $150
to the Upper Michigan Raptor Rehab and Wildlife Center. The Current
Issues class raised the money to help the non-profit organization as
part of the requirements of achieving Emerald status as a Michigan Green
School. Gayle Bruntjens, program manager, made an educational
presentation about birds of prey to their class. The Upper Michigan
Raptor Rehab is located in Gladstone, MI and was founded in March, 2006.
The center has given birds of prey the chance to be flying once again in
U.P. skies. Their mission is to release the once injured bird of prey
back to the town in which they were found. U.P. Raptor Rehab offers
school programs and is available for birthday parties, company picnics,
retirement parties, etc. For more information, call (906) 428-1497.
