Apples in First Grade  

 

Johnny Appleseed's real name was John Chapman and he was born over 230 years ago.  We followed his journey on our map and enjoyed the legendary stories about this American folk hero.

We collected many kinds of apples in our classroom.  Some of them were McIntosh, Braeburn, Pink Lady, Granny Smith, Red Delicious and Golden Delicious.

We followed our own recipe to make our applesauce.  Everyone found the surprise inside and then counted their seeds.  

 

We are ready to find the surprise inside!
