ACCELERATED READER
The Accelerated
Reader Program is an important part of the Resource Room. The children in the RR may
read accelerated reader books whenever they are finished with their seatwork.
The
Resource Room has many AR books for the children to choose from and read.
In addition to the commercially produced AR books, I have made over 700 AR tests
to go with the other books in my room! I have installed these tests on two
stand-alone computers in my classroom. My students do an excellent job
accumulating points for the Point Store. The children may cash their
points in at the Point Store that is open at the end of each marking period.
