The Study of Monarchs

    In the Fall our class study the Monarch butterfly. We have caterpillars in our classroom and then provide milkweed plants for them to eat because it is the only thing Monarchs will eat. The children love to watch the stages of the Monarch. When the monarch comes out of the chrysalis we "tag" the butterfly and release it outside so it can fly to Mexico.
